Neighbourhood Centre construction nearing completion

The Centre is projected to reach completion mid December 2024

Nestled adjacent to the new Mangapikopiko School on Park Estate Road, the Park Green Neighbourhood Centre is set to become a vibrant hub for local residents, catering to the evolving needs of this growing community.

Excitement is building in Park Green as the Neighbourhood Centre construction nears completion, with the site expected to be complete by mid-December 2024 and businesses anticipated to start operating in the first half of 2025.

The base build for the Centre’s five retail shops, café, and an Early Childhood Education (ECE) facility is now complete, with exterior cladding also nearly finished. Parking areas, pedestrian paving, and landscaping have also started, bringing the vision of a modern and welcoming retail space to life. To celebrate the completion of the base build, the construction team recently marked the milestone with a gathering, enjoying food and drink in recognition of their hard work and dedication in bringing the project closer to fruition.

Leasing interest in the Neighbourhood Centre has been strong, with negotiations progressing with established operators for a convenience store, hair salon, and café. As previously announced, BestStart ECE has secured a long-term lease, bringing quality education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. With a planned capacity for 100 children, the ECE facility promises to support local families by providing a safe and nurturing environment for early learning.

Leasing opportunities are still available, including spaces for a “grab-n-go” concept and specialty retail outlets.

Park Green Neighbourhood Centre is strategically positioned to serve a projected future population exceeding 13,000, creating a community-centric destination for shopping, dining, and daily conveniences.

The Centre is an integral part of the area’s development, complimenting nearby modern housing projects, retirement living, and enhanced access routes to Karaka Lakes.
